CMYK Engineering LLC ("we", "us") operates cmykengineering.com. This policy explains what we store on your device and why.

What we load

Every page loads Google Tag Manager (container GTM-PLTWHZL). It stores nothing itself; it runs the two tags below.

Google Analytics 4

Property G-ZB36E91M7F, used for analytics. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you open, roughly where you are, your approximate device and browser, and how you arrived. We use it to see which equipment pages get read and where visitors give up, not to identify you personally.

Google acts as our processor for this data and may transfer it outside your country. Their own terms govern what else they do with it; see Google's privacy policy for the detail.

Meta Pixel

Pixel ID 407900821244258, used for advertising. It sets a cookie in your browser and sends Meta the pages you open, your IP address and browser details, and any Meta cookies your browser already holds. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta can connect the visit to your account.

We use it to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. Meta also uses this data for its own purposes under its own terms; see Meta's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.

That is the whole list. We load no other advertising or social scripts.

Our own cookie

Besides the two tags above, this site sets one cookie of its own, named cmyk_attr. It is first-party: it is written by this site, read only by this site, and sent to nobody.

It holds where you arrived from — the campaign parameters in the link you followed, and the address of the page that linked to you — and a random identifier for your browser that is not connected to your name or to any account. It lasts 90 days.

We use it for one thing. Equipment is not bought in one visit: somebody reads about a press in August and writes to us in September. When you send us an enquiry, this cookie tells us which advertisement or search brought you here in the first place, so we know which of them are worth paying for. It is included in the enquiry we receive and is not sent to Google, Meta, or anyone else.

Blocking or clearing it does not affect the site or your enquiry. The only difference is that we will not know how you found us.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It is data held on your device by your browser, not by us.

Cookies are commonly grouped as:

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to function or to remember a choice you made. We set none today.
• Attribution — used to remember which advertisement or search brought you here, so we can tell which ones work. This is cmyk_attr, described above. It is ours, and the data stays with us.
• Analytics — used to count visits and understand which pages are read. This is Google Analytics.
• Marketing — used to measure ads and show them to people who visited a site. This is the Meta Pixel.

We do not sell your data for money. Under some US state laws, including California's, letting Meta collect browsing data through the pixel for advertising counts as "sharing" it. The next section explains how to stop it.

Third-party content

Some pages link to external sites, such as our financing partner or our social profiles. Once you follow such a link, the destination site's own cookie and privacy practices apply, not ours. We have no control over them and encourage you to read their policies.

Managing cookies

Your browser settings block or delete cookies, for this site alone or for every site. Nothing here depends on them: blocking them does not break the site, and clearing this site's data removes any analytics and advertising cookies already set.

Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site that uses it, at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

To stop Meta using your visits to this site for ads, open Accounts Center in Facebook or Instagram, go to Your information and permissions → Your activity off Meta technologies, and disconnect or turn off future activity. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at https://optout.aboutads.info.
